Parking at LAX Airport

With 7,000 spaces available in eight parking structures, there are several options at LAX, available 24 hours a day, long term and short term. They are located across the roadways from the passenger terminals.

Passenger pick-up and drop-off

Passenger drop-off: For everyone's safety, the airport is currently closed to the general public, except for passengers with valid boarding tickets, persons accompanying or assisting such passengers, and airport personnel. Passengers may be dropped off at the terminals on the upper/departures level.

Passenger pick-up: Passengers may be picked up on the outside curbside of the lower/arrivals level, outside the baggage claim hall.

If you are picking up a passenger, use one of the two free Cell Phone Waiting Lots, where motorists can wait for up to 2 hours, until passengers call to say they are ready to be picked up in the central area. The original lot is located at the northwest corner of 96th Street and Vicksburg Avenue, and is available 24 hours a day. The secondary lot is located at the northwest corner of 96th Street and Alverstone Avenue and is open from 6:00 am to 2:00 am. Vehicles must remain attended throughout the entire stay.

Central Terminal Area (CTA)

Eight parking structures located directly across from the passenger terminals. Available for extended stays and overnight trips.

Note: All vehicles entering the central area are subject to random inspection.

Premium Parking

• 2-3 minutes from the terminals
• Located on the Arrivals level of P1 and P3
• You can't park any closer
• Premium charging location for electric vehicles

Economy Parking

• 15 minutes from the terminals
• The lowest rates at LAX
• Best choice for long-term parking
• Electric vehicle charging stations available
• Free shuttle to and from the central area 24 hours a day. Passenger pick-up areas are located on level 1 of the garage (southeast section) and on the Arrivals level of CTA, in the LAX Shuttle pink zones.
• Shuttle service takes 15 minutes and departs every 7-10 minutes.

Valet Parking

• Available at P1, P3, P4 and P7
• 1-2 minutes from the terminals
• No need to look for a spot, the staff will take care of parking for you

Van Nuys (FlyAway)

• More than 60 minutes to the terminal
• Service to the San Francisco Valley area
• The transport cost is not included in the reservation price
• Low-cost parking for FlyAway bus riders

LAX Budget Parking

• Located at 5455 West 111th Street
• Over 2,000 open-air spaces for extended stays and overnight trips
• Complementary shuttle to the central area every 20-25 minutes, 24 hours a day. Passenger pick-up areas are located throughout the lot and on the Arrivals level of CTA, in the pink LAX Shuttle zones.

Listed below are the locations of electric vehicle charging equipment installed at each Central Area Garage (CTA):

- P3: 87 L2, 1 DCFC
- P4: 89 L2, 1 DCFC
- P5: 60 L2
- P6: 114 L2, 1 DCFC
- P7: 186 L2, 2 DCFC

Service fee: USD2.00 per session plus USD0.45 per kWh

Off-site private parking options (not part of LAX)

Several private parking garages offer complimentary shuttle service to the LAX central terminal area, and have their stops on the upper/departures level, identified by red pillars on the curb.
