Los Angeles International Airport (IATA: LAX) is one of the busiest airports in the United States and the world, representing a major hub not only for domestic flights, but also for international and intercontinental flights. It is the primary hub for more passenger airlines than any other U.S. airport, including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Allegiant Air, JetBlue and Southwest Airlines.
During 2023, 75 million passengers passed through it. It is located in the state of California, 18 miles (29 km) southwest of the financial district of Los Angeles.

The airport is open 24 hours a day and has 9 terminals. Admission is only allowed to passengers, accompanying persons and airport staff.

The terminals are connected by a free shuttle bus service (LAX Shuttle), which connects passengers to all terminals, transport services and parking facilities. The buildings are also connected by pedestrian walkways.

The airport features free Wi-Fi access, banking services, power outlets for recharging electronic devices, dedicated spaces for mothers, pet and guide dog relief area, medical and mail services, tourist information and traveler assistance.

You will find a wide variety of dining options, with restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets and bars in all terminals, as well as a wide variety of duty-free items, including clothing and fashion, cosmetics, electronics and phones, alcoholic beverages, sweets, as well as local stores. Transfer services are also available via apps such as Uber, Lyft and Opoli. Cab fare to downtown Los Angeles ranges from USD85.00 to USD120.00 (during peak hours) and travel time (during non-peak hours) is 20-25 minutes.
