What is the easiest way to access downtown Los Angeles by public transportation?

The FlyAway nonstop bus service provides transportation between LAX, Union Station and Van Nuys. The vehicles drop off passengers on the upper/departures level of each terminal. At the airport, you can board them on the lower/arrivals level, in front of each terminal, next to the blue FlyAway columns. The one-way fare in either direction is USD9.75. SEE MORE

Where is the pick-up location for Uber, Lyft and Opoli?

Authorized ride-sharing app service providers (Uber, Lyft, Opoli) pick up their passengers at the LAX-it lot, next to Terminal 1. You can get there on foot or board a free shuttle to the area. Is there free internet access?

Yes, LAX offers free unlimited Wi-Fi access so you can stay connected while traveling. It is available in the public area of all terminals.

The service allows you to enjoy unlimited 45-minute sessions of free access. You will be presented with an announcement or a short video (15 to 30 seconds) before you can browse.

How do I get between the airport terminals?

What to do in case of a long layover?

There are many duty-free stores and dining options. LAX also offers a number of other services, including infirmary rooms in all terminals, medical and first aid services, pet relief areas, charging outlets for electronic devices, free Wi-Fi and banking services. In addition, there are several VIP lounges with drinks, food, work spaces and many amenities. In case you need to sleep for a few hours, there are several hotels with shuttle service nearby.

What to do in case of loss of valuables or luggage?

The lost and found office is run by the airport police division. Found items are posted on the airport's official website within an estimated 2 to 5 business days. Items can be found both at the boarding gates, restrooms, check-in counters, as well as at the curbside of the terminals.

Is there a baggage storage service?

LAX no longer has electronic lockers or storage service for oversized items. However, a private service called LAX Luggage Storage offers storage and pick-up and return service.

- Carry-on baggage: USD12.00 per day/per piece
- Average size: USD15.00 per day/per piece
- Special size item: USD18 per day/per piece

Is there a free parking area inside LAX?

In all lots in the central area, you have 15 minutes of free parking. In addition, there are two areas (Cell Phone Waiting Lots) where you can wait for up to 2 hours free of charge until your passengers call to say they are ready to be picked up. More information about PARKING

Where can I buy a SIM card?

All ICE Currency Exchange booths sell international and domestic SIM cards. In addition, some convenience stores and newsstands offer such cards, which are ideal for travelers visiting the United States. Visit the Hudson, Los Angeles Magazine News, Market 8600, Sunset News and CNN Newsstand locations.

Where can I get travel assistance while at the airport?

Volunteers (easy to spot thanks to their bright red jackets) are located at the information booths in each terminal, on the lower/arrivals level, from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekends. Volunteers assist passengers with directions to various airport and community facilities, transportation and accommodations, and other airport-related information.
